Body In Balance Chiropractic is the vision of Chiropractor, Dr. Roy. Dr. Roy is a proud husband and father to two children. He enjoys spending time with his family when not taking care of the health of the community. He loves keeping fit, and has been a keen runner for many years and has challenges himself by running medium to long distance events.
Early in his Chiropractic career, Dr. Roy observed that a gentle approach, combined with practical and inspirational health advice, delivered excellent outcomes to his patients.
Dr. Roy’s purpose is to inspire and adjust members of the community towards outstanding nervous system function using Chiropractic care and education so that they can enjoy an AWESOME quality of life. He works with all ages and also has a special interest in helping women under high levels of stress, active and health conscious people wanting to not just recover from injuries but undergo active chiropractic care and advice to prevent them.
Dr. Roy saved many peoples’ lives working as a paramedic in South Africa, before recognising the life improving possibilities of Chiropractic care. After moving to Melbourne, he completed his 6 years of training at RMIT University and graduated with a Bachelors of Clinical Science and a Bachelor of Chiropractic Science. Subsequently, Dr. Roy earned a Graduate Certificate in Sports Chiropractic and an International Chiropractic Sport Science Diploma.
Dr. Roy was presented the Outstanding Service Award (Chiropractors’ Association of Australia – VIC) in September 2015 (having previously received it in 2007). Dr. Roy achieved the prestigious award of Victorian Chiropractor of the Year for his outstanding service to the Chiropractic profession and the community in 2008. He was honoured with the award of “Certificate of Clinical Excellence” from Chiropractic Education Australia in 2001. Dr. Roy attends regular continuing professional development and education to keep up with the latest in Chiropractic and natural healthcare.
Dr. Roy is a member of the Chiropractors’ Association of Australia and served as a senior director on the board of the Victorian branch for almost 15 years.
Techniques: Manual diversified, Toggle recoil, Logan Basic, Applied Kinesiology, Extremity adjusting, Cranial adjusting and SD Protocol.
