What’s your approach to patient care, and what can patients expect during a session with you? I take a holistic, personalised approach to care. My goal is to listen closely to my patient’s challenges, concerns and goals. A range of thorough testing and functional scans are performed to get to the root cause of the symptoms. My focus is not only on relieving pain but also restoring function, improving mobility and helping patients maintain long-term optimal health. I use a variety of gentle techniques, tailored to each individual, depending on their needs and preference. Techniques I use include: Manual Diversified, Drop Piece, Sacro-occipital Technique, Activator and Cranial adjusting.
What’s your favourite aspect of working in Chiropractic? Seeing the transformation in my patients and being able to make a real improvement to their quality of life. It’s so rewarding to help people to feel better, move better and live their best lives. I love working with families and seeing how chiropractic care can positively impact every generation, from birth to later life.
What are some of the conditions that you find you are most successful in helping people with? Lower back pain and sciatica, neck pain and stiffness, headaches and migraines, postural imbalances, tension and pregnancy related back discomfort are among the most common challenges I assist with. I also enjoy providing wellness/preventative care which helps to support an active pain-free lifestyle.
What’s your favourite way to unwind after a busy day? A walk at the beach and watching the sunset is my go-to for switching off after a busy day.
What are some common misconceptions about your profession that you’d like to address? That Chiropractor’s just “crack your back.” There is SO much more to Chiropractic that a lot of people are unaware of. I love to educate my clients of the amazing impact Chiropractic has on our brain and the positive side effects of a well functioning nervous system. Chiropractic care is not just for back pain!
What’s the energy like in your treatment room? Calm and welcoming to allow patients to immediately feel at ease. My goal is to create an environment where your body and mind can fully reset. My treatment room is filled with indoor plants, natural lighting and a grounded presence that helps you relax and tune into your body’s healing process.
Coffee or tea? I love a chai latte, or a herbal tea (usually peppermint).
Sweet or savoury? Both! It depends on my mood but I probably lean slightly more towards sweet.
What’s one health tip you wish more people knew? Your posture matters more than you think – improving it can reduce pain, decrease stress, boost energy and even enhance your mood. Chiropractic care can improve your posture, so that your body can heal and thrive.
What’s a hidden talent or hobby you have? Snowboarding and Waterskiing are my favourite hobbies.
