health and wellbeing

At Body in Balance we promote a holistic approach to health care and think that eating. moving and thinking well are vital for good health.

Eating Healthily

A nutritious and balanced diet is vital to allowing the body to function at its best. That’s as important for healthy growth in children and adolescents as it is for maintaining vibrant levels of health in full-grown adults. Taking the time to learn how our body absorbs what we eat can make us more mindful about what and when we consume food, and its positive or negative impact upon our health.

Regular Exercise

An obvious one, but true. Making 30 minutes of exercise a day (minimum) part of your daily lifestyle has many health benefits, including:

  • It’s great for our heart (proven to reduce blood pressure and help lower levels of ‘bad’ cholesterol).
  • It reduces stress.
  • Promoting better sleep behavior.
  • Proven to reduce mild-to-moderate cases of depression.
  • Increased energy (elevated nutrient and oxygen levels promotes a healthy cardiovascular system).
  • In creased endorphin levels in the brain promote mood improvement.
  • Reduces risk of stroke.

Healthy Thinking

This is where a healthy body begins. When we understand how and why our body functions most effectively, we can make preventative health care an integral and natural part of our daily lives.

At Body in Balance, that’s our aim. Our experienced staff live and practice the healthy life choices we promote. We know they work. Every day we see those same health benefits bringing happiness into the lives of the people we treat and care for. We want you to experience that, too.
